Discover Martin Luther King Jr. Park
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park is a city-owned community park at 403 South Chestnut Street, near Timkin Road, south of Old Town Tomball. Its standout feature is a set of full-size basketball courts that are fenced, covered and lighted, with six goals in total, so pickup games can continue in the evening and out of the summer sun or a passing shower. There's also a playground for younger kids, with a restroom nearby that the city's Public Works Department cleans and maintains daily. For a picnic, the park has two picnic tables, two barbecue pits and six benches. Parking is limited to seven spaces, including one accessible spot, so visitors staying downtown may prefer to walk over. It's a quiet neighborhood park for a game of basketball, a short playground break or a casual lunch outdoors while exploring Tomball. See the City of Tomball's park page for details and rules.
