Jerry Matheson Public Pool

The Jerry Matheson Public Pool & Splash Pad at Jerry Matheson Park, 1240 Ulrich Road, is the City of Tomball's outdoor public swimming pool, managed by the Public Works Department. Admission is free for all ages, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. The fully equipped facility has restrooms, water fountains and showers. The splash pad, reached through the pool entrance and separated by a gate, has ground nozzles that spray upward, motion-activated shower features, a slide and dumping buckets, so younger kids can play safely while older ones swim. The pool is seasonal: in 2026 it ran daily from late May to early August, then opened on weekends through Labor Day. It's a great free way for visiting families to cool off during a Texas summer, and the park's playground, tennis and pickleball courts are right outside.
