Juergens Park

Juergens Park at 1331 Ulrich Road, between Zion and Hufsmith Roads, is Tomball's first city-owned park. The Juergens family donated the land, which had been in their family since 1964, and the Chamber of Commerce, local residents and community groups all helped build it. Today it's a popular family park with a large lighted pavilion with electricity, a barbecue pit and 23 big picnic tables, which can be reserved for reunions and parties. There's a half-mile asphalt walking track, four playgrounds including Louie's Together Playground designed for children of all abilities, a lighted half-court for basketball, a sand volleyball court and two fenced pickleball courts. Picnic tables and grills sit within sight of the playgrounds, and restrooms are cleaned daily. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails but not in playground areas. Jerry Matheson Park, with its pool and tennis courts, is right across the street.
