Discover Kleb Woods Nature Preserve & Center
Kleb Woods Nature Preserve & Center is a Harris County park at 20605 FM 2920, just west of Tomball in the Hockley area. The preserve protects a stretch of quiet woodland and the historic Kleb family farm, and it's a peaceful escape that the Houston Chronicle has described as a hidden gem near Tomball. About 3.9 miles of easy, shaded trails wind through the property, including the popular 1.2-mile East Loop, which links the Live Oak, Nature and Farm trails and has more than 180 reviews on AllTrails. The nature center, reached from the trails, has restrooms and water and is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the restored farmhouse and farm buildings are open during the same hours, giving visitors a glimpse of rural life in the area. Dogs are not allowed, even on a leash, which keeps the preserve quiet for birdwatching and wildlife viewing. It's a rewarding, free outing for families and nature lovers.
