Discover Tomball Museum Center
The Tomball Museum Center at 510 North Pine Street is run by the Spring Creek County Historical Association and brings together preserved historic buildings and exhibits that tell the story of the Tomball area. Guided tours take visitors through the Griffin House, a church, a doctor's office, a schoolhouse, a log house, an oil camp house, a jail, a barn, a smokehouse, an outhouse and a sawmill. The museum is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m., with other days by appointment, and it offers tours for individuals, groups and schools. It also hosts special events such as candlelight tours, a car social and Halloween night at the museum, and publishes a newsletter. Take your time: there's a lot to see. It's a short drive or walk north of Main Street.
