The Book Attic

The Book Attic calls itself Tomball's hometown bookstore. It's at 15222 FM 2920, at Park Road, the third light west of Highway 249, according to its website. It's a used bookstore with novels, children's titles, classics and school reading, new releases and rare finds, and the shop will try to order required school titles and discount them when it can. The Book Attic doesn't buy books for cash, but it gives trade credit worth 25% of the selling price for books you bring in, which you can apply to up to half of a purchase; hardcovers trade for hardcovers and paperbacks for paperbacks. Popular kids' series like Dog Man, Wings of Fire, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Harry Potter are always wanted as donations. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It's a great browse for book lovers and families on a rainy afternoon. Call (281) 255-6050 before bringing trade-ins.
