Terrarium Plant House

Terrarium Plant House at 311 West Main Street in historic downtown Tomball is a shop for plant lovers, whether you're an avid gardener, a patio planter or just want a little green at home. It specializes in indoor and patio plants, custom terrariums and terrarium supplies, and botanically inspired decor and gifts from independent makers, plus some faux, dried and preserved plants. The real draw for visitors is the hands-on classes: instructor-led DIY terrarium classes, fairy garden and carnivorous bog garden workshops and kids' classes, usually held Friday evenings and on weekends. Classes are BYOB (beer, wine, seltzer or cider), and private parties are available for groups of six or more. During "Happy Hour" open-studio times, experienced builders can make their own terrarium using shop supplies. Staff also offer plant care advice and repotting. The shop is open Tuesday through Sunday and is pet-friendly, and a free public parking lot is right next door at Main and Cherry streets.
