Harris County Smokehouse

Harris County Smokehouse is a family barbecue restaurant at 14243 FM 2920 in Tomball that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The family has been in the restaurant business for decades: in 1968, "Paw-Paw" started a chain of more than 200 breakfast restaurants and also had a hand in barbecue and catering, and his son Harry, who worked with him for years, started Harris County Smokehouse in 1998. The menu combines smoked barbecue such as brisket and chicken with hearty breakfast plates, a nod to the family's breakfast roots. The Tomball restaurant is open daily from early morning to evening, according to its locations page, and online ordering is available. Community Impact reported in 2024 that the chain closed its Katy location while the Tomball restaurant continued operating. It's a convenient stop on the FM 2920 corridor for a barbecue lunch or an early breakfast before a day out, and the restaurant also caters.
